A Shoe Problem

I love shoes. I have a lot of shoes. More than I need, in fact. When I find a good pair of shoes, I have a hard time passing them up. And I am of the opinion that it's very difficult to have too many shoes. So, what's the problem you ask? I don't like to wear shoes. If I could go everywhere barefoot, I would. The first thing I do when I come home is take off my shoes (and socks if I'm wearing any). My feet like to be free and wild. You can imagine that one of the most difficult rules for me to follow at girls' camp was to always have closed-toed shoes on. I was wearing flip-flops when I was out earlier today and I couldn't wait to get them off when I got home.

So, what is a girl to do when she loves shoes and wants everyone to see her beautiful shoes, but she doesn't want to wear them?

Find something you DO like to wear, like a t-shirt. Take some nice pictures of your favorite pairs of shoes, then get them printed on different shirts! This way you can always show off your shoes even if you aren't wearing any.

You're welcome.

Don't worry, my friend. I'd be happy to help you out with this huge dilemma, out of the goodness of my heart. You just buy all the beautiful shoes you can afford, and send them to me, and I will be HAPPY to take them so that you can go on living happily barefoot. I'm such a good friend, I know. Because guess what!? I can't STAND being barefoot... anywhere. So all those beautiful shoes will be very happy here with me.

it's true! haha! I guess Jenni just wanted to update us a year later about the situation.

Cara is right. I did post about this very same problem last year in many of the same words. And I didn't even realize it. If I'm still posting about this problem a year later, then it is a problem indeed!

I hate wearing shoes too! My shoes are the first thing that comes off too. I've got plenty of shoes I haven't worn either. It gets a little crazy sometimes.

Take pictures of a different pair every day and put them on your blog. That way everyone can see them on you, but you don't actually have to wear them. Ha!

(PS--I prefer to be shoeless, too, but flip-flops are a pretty darn good second.)

closed-toed shoes were a problem for me at girl's camp too. I wore flip-flops in the car and only switched to shoes when I got there but put flip-flops back on the second we were back in car on way home! I do love shoes and love wearing them, which is a huge advantage! Summer shoes are my favorite. I decided my fettish about shoes is really mom's fault so maybe that will explain yours too. I remember only having 2 pair of shoes growing up, tennis shoes and church shoes. Not even sandals for summer. I made my own out of blocks and rubber bands or cardboard. Hence, now that I am able, I can't pass up a great looking pair of shoes. I have passed this trait on to Becca and our philosophy is: it doesn't matter if you don't have anything to wear them with, buy something! It is a happy philosophy.
